Product Description

PB273  We took the ever popular 271 design and added a flared knob.  The result is outstanding durability and performance with reduced end weighting and outstanding balance.  It boasts a medium handle (.94”) with a long straight transition to a medium barrel (2.50”). This bat has the smallest barrel of our three large flared knob bats giving it the least amount of end weighting.  You will love the way this bat gets through the hitting zone.  This is the model I recommend for younger players as they make the transition from metal to wood.  The balance and durability are perfect for this age group.  (Displayed with Black Barrel and Natural Handle)

I love this model

Posted by Andrew C on May 6, 2020

When I was younger, I used to swing the Pro Bats Scorpion model youth bat in BP and for my cage work. When I moved up to the big field I was concerned about transitioning to an adult model bat. I would be using this bat for off field work again, but now my team was entering wood bat tournaments during the summer where I would need to feel comfortable enough to use it in a big game. Not only did Pro Bats have a lot of adult models to choose from, Mr. LaDuca was willing to spend time talking to my Dad and me about the best features of each one and helping me find the right model for my size and swing. We chose the PB273. I love it. I get stopped by other players all the time who ask about my bat. I’ll always stick with Pro Bats.

Great bat for youth transitioning to wood

Posted by John Klocek on January 8, 2019

Got this bat for my 11 year old in a drop 4. This is his first wood bat and he absolutely loves it. Very similar to the PB270. The long transition leads to a nice barrel and a very balanced bat that he can easily handle. My son feels the medium flared knob is a little more comfortable than standard knobs. Would recommend this bat for any youth played making the jump to wood that can swing a 31” or higher. Charlie’s a true baseball guy, but more importantly, he understand wood and has perfected his craft. I’ve used these bats back when I played. In my opinion, there’s no better bat on the market.
